This is a very simple example of a multiple find with an omit option. Lets say that you want to find records about students grades 3 to 5, but you want to omit the students from an specific school.

1) Enter find mode ( we provided a button to make it easier for you ) and type the grade range (3...5) in your grade field.

2) Create new second find request ( we provided a button to make it easier for you ) and select the name of the school you wish to omit.

3) Click the Omit checkbox in the status area. There isn’t a way for use to script this action they way we are walking you through this and I wanted you to click the omit box for demonstration purposes. You can save an omit operation in a script, in fact, there are multiple options for that.

4) Perform the find by hitting the enter key on your keyboard, the Find button in the status area or the button we provided.

This search finds all records with the grades you specified then omitted any record with the school name you specified on the second find request.

We added a show omitted button so that you can toggle the views of the found set of records.
